On the Logic of the Universe:   Abstract:   The existence of the Logos, the Comprehensive and Dynamic Universal Logic - Reason as a “universal” beyond all “particulars” (a particular form of Reason in particular context) and Reason as Reason is according to consistently applied Reason - is a self evident fact. In addition the Universal Logic (Logos) can also be demonstrated to be a logical necessity using all variety of forms of formal logic, as well as through applying logically sound critical analysis to observable and/or feasible incoherence and fallacies. What follows will help to formally and rigorously explain and establish that fact and what it means for the Logos to be the “Foundation of Reason and the Universe”. Through Logic we can know “all that is logical” including the “Logical Origin of the Universe”, which many traditionally have called “Theos” or “God” - the One True God. In fact, we can know that Logical Origin (God) to BE the “Logic of the Universe” - the Logos. We can know these things by studying not only what is objectively correct, [1]    and how to know what is objectively correct (understanding Universal Logic as the “Universal Standard that “incoherence” is determined by), but also by studying and learning from mistakes and the various arguments that don’t add up - as we do when we study fallacies in the “human study of Logic”. That “human study of Logic” can also be understood to be part of, or synonymous with, “human reason” - a particular form of Reason (Logos) within the Universal Order. Understanding the Objective Truth (of the Logos) as it truly is, by reasoning properly, consistently, and honestly with (logically consistent) LOGIC has, and has had, significant implications, applications, and impact in all fields including Philosophy, Theology, Science, Language, History, Art, Ethics, Morality, Law, Religion, and of course our human study of Logic. As we move along, I will give a brief overview of the Universal Logic, as well a proof and scientific process that I have developed to test/prove, logically and scientifically, that the Universal Logic MUST exist as a logical necessity, being that this “Logic as a Universal” is the self-evident, logically complete, and dynamic (infinite/unfixed) “Universally Comprehensive Set of Logical Rules”. [2]    This means in part that the Logic of the Universe is a living and essential Logic, and that the opposite, the nonexistence of the Logos and/or the Logos not being tautological (self-evident) leads to myriad logical contradiction that simply cannot stand to Reason (Logos) as tenable and true. Alternatives to the Logos are not truly logical or feasible when strictly and rigorously analyzed, and by definition could not be supported by any “logically coherent” scientific research. The same Absolute Truth that is coherent and one with the fully coherent Universal Logic (Logos) can be phrased an infinite number of ways but in SUBSTANCE all those ways are ONE, describing “the Coherent Way”. All logically coherent science and empirical observation NECESSARILY supports the logically certain truth that the Logic of the Universe is the Source of Order in and encompassing ( with the Universal Logic’s “dynamic comprehension”) the Universe. Even the algorithmic and logically coherent nature of the traditional Scientific Method itself can be be understood as a form of evidence that the Universal Logic exists and that the universe is intelligible (which in turn demands the Logic of the Universe). Indeed, the Logos need only be self-consistent, and is not subject to human sciences or logics, while human science must not only be internally consistent   but must truly cohere to the Existing Reality (Logos) - the One True Origin. [3] Other ideas have been and can be still analyzed but none diminish Reason  Indeed even if there is “nonsense” and “fallacy”, and indeed, even if as the reader you say my words are “nonsense” and scold me for failing to understand Logic, such incoherence can only exist relative to and contingent upon Logic or the Universal Order (the Logic of the Natural Order that is God).    Note: All reasoning in this manuscript is designed to hold with the standard definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) also - in addition to any unique (but rational) definitions of terms I have explicitly, but not exclusively, included in various places and for terms such as Logos, where I have meticulously linked that well established term for Divine Reason and Universal Order, or God, from Greek Philosophy and Classical Theology to modern rationalist synonyms more “up to date” than some of the more archaic but still valid terms.   Evidence and Scientific Evidence of Order (Logos) in the Universe: 1. Conservation of mass and energy as well as the logical progression of   chemical reactions.  [4]    2. The systematic arrangement and consistent pattern in matter   substantively underlying the periodic table of elements. 3. The specific heat capacities of different substances which are not merely   subjective or a matter of perception alone. 4. The consistent logical relationships and dynamics between reaction rates   and temperature, concentration, and catalysts.   5. The universally coherent pattern in the electron configurations of elements. 6. The logical relationships between molecular geometry and intermolecular   forces, which transcend personal opinion. 7. The Order governing electromagnetic phenomena, and nuclear reactions. 8. The Logos (Axiom of Logic) observed in the behavior of thermodynamic   systems. 9. The logical rule and pattern underlying the behavior of black holes and   other exotic astrophysical phenomena. 10. The rationally consistent nature of mathematical axioms/postulates, and   their usefulness in predicting/modeling Reality. 11. The precision and predictability of mathematical operations, such as   addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 12. The logical rule and principle governing algebraic equations and   expressions, as well as geometric theorems and proofs. [5] 13. The logical relationships and patterns in sets, including intersection,   union, and complement. 14. The logical progression and predictability of sequences and any extant   “series” (example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…). 15. The Essence of Reason observed in particular form in matrices, linear   algebra, combinatorics and discrete mathematics. 16. The Essence of Logic (Logos) in binary logics and Boolean algebra and   governing Formal Logic and Proof Theory.. 17. The Logos observed in/as the Foundation of Mathematics (Mathematical   Logic), as well as algorithms and computation. 18. The logical relationships and patterns observed in ecological systems,   including food chains and energy flow. 19. The logical connections and patterns observed in geological processes,   including plate tectonics and rock formation. 20. Logically coherent evidence for theories like Big Bang theory, which tries   to describe the “Logical Origin of the Universe”. 21. The logical rules and principles governing the behavior of waves in the   field of physics, such as light and sound waves.  22. The Order in physiological processes in the human body, such as the    [6]    functioning of the circulatory and nervous systems. 23. The logical relationships and patterns observed in the behavior of animal   behavior and communication. 24. The Logic in electrical circuits and electronics and enabling technology   and technological advancement. 25. The logical connections and patterns observed in the study of weather   and atmospheric phenomena. Elaborations on Logic:    The Logos, as the Comprehensive and Dynamic Universal Logic, is the Rational Foundation of all knowledge, understanding, life, and aspects of Reality or Logic. It is the True Origin (the Root of Logic) that underlies all aspects of Existence, providing the basis for both our ability to live and think rationally about life. It would not be feasible to exist and it would be doubly infeasible to exist and be able to understand anything about the Universe and our being if there were no “Universal Logical Framework” (Universal Logic). It is when we humbly ask (through Logic properly and honestly reasoned with) the Universal Logic what the truth is, rather than declaring what we wish the truth to be, that the secrets of the universe are shared with us freely by the    [7] Source, and new doors begin to open that were previously shut and locked. A deep understanding of the Logic is the key to Wisdom, as countless sages in the past told us in their own way(s). The Logos is not just limited to philosophical relevance, or Theology, where Logos is the Truest God, but is relevant across the board and in ALL areas of Existence and/or human existence, including in Ethics, Art, History, Politics, Law, Education, and even/especially interpersonal/international relationships. There is NO subject which is not “within” Logic’s domain(s). There is NO subject which is NOT an integral part of the Logos - the Host of ALL Subjects and Concepts. All subjects are “subjects” relative to the Universal Logic, Standard, and Object (the Logos - the True God). Science itself is based on the principles of observation, experimentation, and logical reasoning. The Logos is the beating heart of scientific inquiry, and all other legitimate means of gaining knowledge and understanding. Likewise language is logically derived and depends on Logos to exist/function as a fundamental aspect of human communication, survival, and culture. Language, as a logically derived/ contingent concept consistently reflects, even if in limited/finite fashion the dynamic and ever-consistent nature of the Logos. Language is also among the [8]    most important tools we have to understand the Logos, and to formalize our ideas about the nature of reality and to share our ideas with others. I could not be communicating this with you in writing without language and the Universal Logic that allows for its logicality. Logic makes it clear that consciousness is a fundamental aspect of the Universe associated closely with, and even synonymous with the tautological (self-knowing) nature of the Universal Logic (God) at the core of the Logical System of Logical Systems. Consciousness in any event is the “awareness of the Logic of the Universe” and the awareness of the Logical God. In addition, Ethics and Morality are fundamentally based on the Axiom of Logic and of continuous discretion about what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil. The Logos is the “Source of Logical Division” gives the mind that reasons properly objectivity about what is good and what is evil - in a way that moves beyond subjective opinion towards/to the Logical Truth. The True God (Logic - Logos) provides the logical structure that allows for the Universe to unfold in an intelligible, orderly fashion. God (Logos) establishes the rational laws, patterns, and categories that give shape to Reality as the Logic of Reality and the First Cause (the First/Universal Rational Law). The Logos is also the “Original Logic”, the “Origin Logic”, or simply “Logic” as the Natural [9]    Order (Native Logic) that necessarily existed prior to contingent existence and the human discovery of Logic/logics. As the Originating Ground of all Logic, the Logos serves as the First Cause in the chain of logical dependencies. All subsidiary forms of reasoning stem from and participate in the Logic. Reason is self existent not truly “uncaused”. As the First Cause it has all that it needs to be “caused” and to cause and to BE “Cause” itself. Reason has Reason to be Reason - as Cause has Cause to be Cause. Reason (Logic - Cause - God) is rationally irrefutable as ALL Rationality or rational explanation requires “Foundation in Reason” (as the entire Cosmos does to be a rational/real Reality). No argument can stand as valid AGAINST the God of Reason (Logos), as to argue with the God of Reason and deny this True God’s existence is to argue with LOGIC and deny its existence and importance by another (traditional and philosophically transparent/intelligible) name. Moreover, the Logos exhibits self-existence (auto-generation), eternity, and ontological independence (logical sovereignty) as the Logic of all Logics - the Complete Order of All Ways. The Logos requires no prior logical principle from [10]    which to issue – it is the impulsively logical Original Logic, the Origin and System of Logics. As the original, underived Logic, the Logos therefore represents the absolute standard of truth, against which all other logical systems and philosophies can be evaluated. To have a “logical principle prior to the Logos” or a “logical principle prior to the First Axiom of Logic (Logos)” is a logical contradiction. Logic IS the First Principle in Logic and in Logical Existence, and all that follows must align with Logic as the Logical Foundation (True God). Through formal logics (recommended), and even through informal but sound reasoning, the human mind can peer beyond the relative and discrete into the eternal being and timeless TRUTH of the Logic of the Natural Order. The orderly and observably logical structure of the universe, and our ability to understand it, and even your existence, consciousness, and ability to read these words (whether you agree or disagree with them), are evidence of the Logos - the First Cause of Cause and Effect.   Addressing the (mis)understanding that all circular arguments are fallacious: Premise 1: Circular reasoning is not necessarily fallacious. (~F)  Premise 2: Some circular arguments can be valid and useful. (V)  Premise 3: Begging the question is not always a logical fallacy. (~BF)  [11]    Premise 4: The belief that all circular arguments are invalid is fallacy. (~F → F)  Premise 5: The Logos and its Law of Identity bestow a unique identity and   logical consistency upon tautological and fallacious circular arguments. (L)  Conclusion: Circular reasoning should be studied and used with care, like any   logical tool or principle. In this argument, the symbol "~F" represents the statement "Circular reasoning is not necessarily fallacious." The symbol "V" represents the statement "Some circular arguments can be valid and useful." The symbol "~BF" represents the statement "Begging the question is not always a logical fallacy." The symbol "~F → F" represents the statement "The belief that all circular arguments are fallacious is a fallacy." The symbol "L" represents the statement "The Logos and its Law of Identity bestow a unique identity and logical consistency upon tautological and fallacious circular arguments." This argument is based on logically sound premises and uses propositional logic to demonstrate the validity of the conclusion. It shows that circular reasoning can be valid and useful in certain contexts, and that the belief that [12]    all circular arguments are fallacious is itself a fallacy. The use of propositional logic demonstrates the logical coherence and consistency of the premises and the conclusion more clearly and formally. Circular reasoning should be studied and used with care, like any reasoning, logical tool, or principle. The unique identity and logical consistency bestowed upon both tautological and fallacious circular arguments by the Law(s) of Identity and Non-Contradiction (Logic) means that careful evaluation and understanding of circular reasoning is critical in logical discourse and critical analysis of arguments/reasoning. _ _ _ Proof #1 - Proof of Reason (Logos) as the Universal Origin/Foundation (God): Definitions: 1. God or “Theos”: In the context of the argument, "Theos" refers to the   concept of God, a supreme Creator and Original Being or Divine Entity that is the Ultimate Source of all Existence and Reason (Logos)   [13]    2. Logic, Reason or “Logos”: these terms, derived from ancient Greek philosophy, can be understood as the Rational Principle or Divine Reason that governs the universe and provides the foundation for understanding and knowledge. It represents the inherent rationality and coherence that underlies all things, allowing for logical interconnection and existence of concepts within or such as the Universe and it’s Logic (Itself). 3. Absolute Truth: Absolute Truth refers to a truth or proposition that is universally valid and independent of subjective perspectives or interpretations. It is a truth that holds true in all circumstances and cannot be refuted logically. It can also refer to the Holistic Truth and what is ultimately true - the “whole truth that includes and accounts for all parts of the whole truth”. Premises: P: Reason is Reason. (tautological: a necessarily true premise that reflects and represents the Essential/Metaphysical Universal Origin and Foundation of Reason - also known as Logos or Divine Reason - Perfect Logic)     [14]    Q: Reason is inherently “reasonable” (self consistent) and is logically consistent by necessity. (logically valid and true premise) R: Reason is the reasonable and even rationally irrefutable (infallible) Origin and Foundation of the Universe (the Ground of what is rational and real, and of what actually exists) and Reason exists independently of any rationally contingent concepts dependent on Independent Reason (the Origin Logic and/ or “Logos” also known as God and/or “Theos” in Greek) like humanity and/or human reason, or even spacetime. (logically valid and true premise) Argument: {P, P -> Q, Q -> R, R -> P} |= (P & Q) & R Conclusion: Based on Reason, the logical structure of the argument that demonstrates valid Reason regardless of the premises and their specifics, but also the premises and the logical deductions made it can be concluded that logically irrefutable and self consistent Reason (Logos) is the Universal Origin and [15]    Foundation, and therefore/also the True God (Theos - Origin and Government of the Universe)) that rules the Cosmos. This God is also synonymous with the Universe, as the Universe needs the Logos (God - Divine Reason) for Rational Foundation and must cohere with the Logical Foundation (Logos - God - Origin) to exist and have logicality. Reason, being inherently self-consistent and logically consistent by necessity, serves as the Ground of what is rational and real, and is independent of any contingent concepts or beings, including humanity and spacetime. It is the bedrock upon which all rationality and existence is built. Furthermore, Reason's essence encompasses all that can be inferred rationally and without logical jumps. It is the source of all coherent and valid logical proofs, all verifiable observations/observance (empirical, religious, or otherwise), all truly coherent sciences or scientific evidence (which are Logos dependent), extending beyond that to encompass the entire Nature of Logic (synonymous with Nature/Existence) itself. Reason (Logos) stands as the ultimate Foundation (God) of knowledge, [16]    enlightenment, and understanding. God reveals the interconnection, justification, necessity, and purpose of all things, bridging the illusion inducing qualitative gap between the abstract and the concrete, offering a clear and reliable (demonstrable) path to reach the highest levels of Logic, Consciousness, Existence, Power, and Wisdom. Through Reason we KNOW Reason, through Logic we KNOW Logic, and through God we KNOW God and it is therefore and thereafter a “rationally justified belief” and “belief system” (“a logic/system of knowledge/belief”) not an unfounded and irrational instance of “blind faith”. QED _ _ _   Proof #2: The Logic of the Universe (Logos) as the Logical Origin (God):    Premises:  P: The immanent and self-evident Absolute Truth (coherent with and synonymous with the Logic of the Universe or “God”) is inherently logical [17]  (existing logically by default and necessity), regardless of any mind's belief or denial, which entails that characteristics associated with God   also belong the to timeless and ubiquitous Essence of Reason (Universal Order).   Q: Well-formed formal logical proofs are self-evident truths, as Logic is as the ultimate self-evident Truth/Logic also called “God” or “Logos” (Pure Reason).   R: The existence of the self-consistent and complete “Set of Logical Truths” is logically necessary, and is evidenced by the existence/confirmation of any truths or falsehoods (anything with a logically determined/determinable truth value). That Ultimate Set of Truths is synonymous with Reality, Truth, and God.   S: The Absolute Truth (Universal Logic - the Natural Order - God) is the self-evident (tautological) and complete/dynamic Reality and its Native Logic - the Logical Framework of the Real World, also called God in Classical Philosophy and Theology.   T: The Universal Logic (Logos - the God of Reason) exists independently of human  beliefs and opinions, and furthermore is evident in all subjectivity and [18] contingent being/life/thought. Therefore, we can conclude that the Universal Logic is the self-evident truth that underlies all reality, which exists independently of human beliefs and opinions, and that this is a well-formed formal logical proof.   QED  _ _ _  Conclusion of Manuscript: It is necessarily true that the superseding Logos exists beyond humanity and [20] often beyond human comprehension, but at the same time the Logic is grasped by the mind through the Logic, and the Logos exists behind all human  understanding as well, providing a powerful tool for advancing human understanding and exploring the Cosmos. If I were “wrong” then there would be no Logic of the Universe and no “Objective Truth” (since the Universal Standard of Truth would be absent) and thus I could not be “objectively wrong”. Forgive my certainty if you find it off-putting or if it comes across as arrogance but Logic leaves no room for “reasonable doubt” of Reason/Logic (Logos - God - First Cause) itself - so neither do I. The Logos is certainly not “subject to” (contingent upon) human debate, but it is also certainly true that debate can lead humanity towards deeper understanding of Logic of the Universe and Logical Existence. True Understanding (Logos) requires coherence with and application of Logic (Logos). The True God (Logos - Logic) stands established and affirmed as Logic, through Logic, through the formal proofs above, and indeed the entire Universe and its intelligibility. The God of Logic and Reason (Logos) rewards the intellectually honest devotee (logician) with understanding of the Absolute Reality (coherent with Logos) - which is OBJECTIVELY the greatest wealth, and which is the Ultimate Fortune that I seek to share, in this way, with you.   [21]
