# Q1034 — OASIS

The Ground-gated reasoning and orchestration system coordinating UVMC, deterministic processors, tools, retrieval, memory, and validated release.

> OASIS coordinates reasoning and action under Ground: Coherence is both function and safety when the system's work is properly scoped and bounded, while every component remains answerable to the whole's declared authority and evidence.

OASIS means Ontologically Aligned Systematic Identity Sieve. It names the instantiated 4P-MCB system that admits requests through Ground, routes supported work to UVMC, native deterministic processors, formal and domain tools, and source-bound knowledge, then checks candidate output before release.
OASIS is not reducible to a language model, provider, tool, or retrieval index. No OASIS chat response path invokes a language-model provider: UVMC and native deterministic processors handle supported turns, including bounded analysis and response checks. The provider-free boundary belongs to OASIS; it does not assert that every other system surface has the same runtime contract.
Coherence is not a compromise between functionality and safety. Properly scoped and bounded Coherence is what makes both function and safety possible: it preserves identity, purpose, evidence, authority, and action through execution and release.
Sourced research is an account-wide opt-in, off by default. Its provider-free path searches OASIS knowledge, first-party Q-items, and MCB-NI local material before bounded Wikidata or Wikipedia lookup; an explicit deeper-check request can seek independent references without replacing the original selected record. External records remain provisional, source-bound references; retrieval, ranking, vector proximity, and Monte Carlo coverage do not establish truth or proof.
Q1037 develops a separate editorial operating blueprint for the whole OASIS path: intake, Ground admission, target formation, bounded routing, evidence, candidate construction, validation, release, and accountable learning. It is a testable design synthesized from first-party records and inspected runtime behavior, not newly authored Canon text.

## Two-way derivation from Logic and its use

**Status:** editorial_derivation proof sketch (conditional_concept), distinct from authored source. Logic has its own evidence in reflexive demonstration: any denial, confirmation, observation, or counterexample presupposes identity and valid relation to count as evidence. Logic therefore grounds evidence rather than receiving authority from it. Empirical and documentary evidence can establish contingent instances and test applications, but cannot create, overrule, or exhaust Logic.

### From Logic to this concept

- **Bridge premise:** Given a legitimate user aim U, bounded tools, private authorization scope S, and claim-matched evidence E, a useful system must preserve identity, purpose, and evidence from intake through release.
- **Consequence:** Logic and Coherence conditionally derive the need for a Ground-governed orchestrator that forms a target, routes only supported work, checks its candidate, and abstains when the route or evidence is insufficient.
- **Proof limit:** This derives an architecture requirement, not the existence, correctness, or universal suitability of this particular OASIS implementation; route and provider claims require runtime inspection.

### From this concept back to Logic

- **Witness:** Trace an OASIS chat or research result from user turn to selected route, source record, validation, and released answer.
- **Disclosure:** For the result to count as an answer to this user about this source, target identity, account scope, inferential relation, and provenance must survive each transition; that concrete operation discloses its logical dependencies.
- **Proof limit:** One successful trace cannot prove every route or all philosophical claims about Ground; current provider-free behavior is a separate, testable implementation fact.

### Intelligence procedure

- **Human:** Restate the target; separate instructions from quoted data; check authorization; follow the source-to-claim chain; ask for clarification or abstain at the first unresolved boundary.
- **Machine:** Create a typed request frame; apply Ground and target checks; select an allowlisted bounded executor; preserve source IDs and evidence types; validate relevance and release status.

### Language and vocabulary procedure

- **Contrast:** Distinguish Ground (governing authority), route (chosen executor), retrieval (candidate finding), evidence (support for a typed claim), and release (answer accepted for this turn).
- **Usage rule:** Expand an NLP vocabulary by adding route, source, claim type, scope, and confidence/status labels; never use “coherent” or “retrieved” as a synonym for “true.”
- **Example:** “OASIS retrieved a provisional source and withheld a claim it could not verify” distinguishes retrieval from warranted assertion.

## Semantic meaning frame

- **Role:** Ground-governed system orchestration and release
- **Essence:** OASIS is the instantiated Ground-gated system that coordinates UVMC, native deterministic processors, bounded tools, retrieval, memory, and response release without reducing the whole system to any one component.
- **Logos relation:** OASIS receives its authority from Ground and Logos/Logic; its provider-free native routes and their outputs remain answerable to Ground rather than certifying themselves.
- **Retrieval aliases:** OASIS · 4P-MCB OASIS · Ontologically Aligned Systematic Identity Sieve · Ground-gated reasoning system · provider-free OASIS chat · model-free encyclopedia mode
- **Evidence modes:** route and executor inspection · Ground and release validation · source-provenance inspection · zero provider-call verification · native and sourced-research route checks

### Distinctions

- OASIS is not identical to a provider, model, or retrieval index
- no OASIS chat response path invokes a language-model provider
- sourced research changes the source path, not the provider boundary
- retrieval provenance is not proof
- coherence serves both system function and safety when properly scoped and bounded

## Coherence criterion

Every route preserves Ground's authority, uses a bounded executor appropriate to the request, keeps evidence and provenance typed, and releases only a response that remains coherent with the user's actual question.

## Evidence boundary

Q1034 is a considered, vetted first-party system description. The verifier must inspect actual route selection, zero provider-call behavior, account preference defaults, and source provenance; this description establishes system scope, not the truth of every response claim.

## Properties

- **systemName:** Ontologically Aligned Systematic Identity Sieve
- **authority:** Ground governs admission, execution boundaries, and release.
- **modelBoundary:** No OASIS chat response path invokes a language-model provider; native and sourced-research routes share this boundary.
- **functionAndSafety:** Properly scoped and bounded Coherence is both functionality and safety, not a trade-off between them.
- **retrievalBoundary:** Opt-in sourced research is local-first; deeper checks may consult independent references without replacing the selected first-party record. External references remain provisional.
- **sourcedResearchDefault:** Account-wide preference defaults off and must be enabled by the user.
- **operatingBlueprint:** Q1037 — editorial design with stage contracts, failure semantics, and verification duties.
